Each 18mm board is precision-milled from a single piece of timber and finished with tongue-and-groove edges for glued or nailed installation. Random plank lengths create a traditional, varied layout, while the collection includes select and more rustic grades to suit different tastes. Brushed matt-lacquered, oiled and lacquered finishes range from light white-washed oak to warm tawny, natural and antique shades. The result is a substantial floor that can be sanded and renewed over time, rewarding careful maintenance with enduring style. As with solid timber generally, York is not advised for use over underfloor heating, so the subfloor and room conditions should be assessed before fitting.
